LTE/5G ready Picocell base station HX PCBS 2.0

– Budget savings during the construction of GSM-R, 4G (LTE), 3G (UMTS), 2G (GSM) networks

– reduction of operating costs: the energy consumption of the system equipment is up to 5 times lower than that of the macro base station

– increase in the coverage area of one base station up to 60 km

– combined data transmission channel between the system units — fiber optic channel and built—in radio line (replacement of the radio relay system): the working distance between the system units via the radio line is up to 20 km (direct visibility is required)the working distance between the system units via the fiber optic channel is up to 60 km (without line of sight) Operation of Internet of Things (IoT) services: In-Band NB-IoT

– built-in remote control system for each device entering the system

HX PCBS 2.0 is designed to create cellular coverage on railways, highways and in low populated areas. The system provide efficient use of the capacity of the existing network. The complex supports LTE FDD, UMTS, GSM (GSM-R) , as well as able to be adopted to 5G networks in the future. It allows you to consistently move the sectors of the base station (BS) at distances up to 60 km, while simultaneously reducing
capital and operating costs for the creation and  maintenance of cellular infrastructure.

Modules:
– The FSC unit is designed to convert several carrier frequencies of LTE, UMTS
or GSM (GSM-R) received from the base station (BS) into internal HX PCBS 2.0
system
– The FSR unit is designed to receive and convert carrier frequencies using a
radio line or fiber-optic channel into cellular signals,
– The relay channel module (RM) ensures the operation of the built-in radioline
– The service channel module (SM) provides additional sectors on the remote
site where the FSR unit is installed

The FSC unit is installed on the site with the base station. It receives carrier
frequencies (GSM-R, GSM, LTE, UMTS standards) from the BS, converts them
into a relay channel (radio line or fiber-optic channel) and transmits to a remote
distance. The FSR unit installed at a remote site receives carrier frequencies via
a radio line or fiber-optic channel and provides signal from several sectors,
similar to a base station (one carrier per sector). Also, the FSR unit amplifies and
transmits the received signals further along the chain to the next site with HX
PCBS 2.0 equipment installed. The Service channel module (SM) is designed to
create additional sectors on the site with the FSR block and to enable the system
to work in MIMO mode
